Mr
Kemal Bedri Kelo has been chairman of the National
Electoral Board of Ethiopia since November 1993.
He is also the President of the Federal Supreme
Court, a position he has held for 13 years. Before
joining the Supreme Court, Mr Kelo worked as a High
Court judge for four years. He also worked for several
years in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Mr
Kelo is currently the President of the Council
of Constitutional Inquiry, the body which investigates
constitutional disputes and submits its decisions
to the House of the Federation. He is a native
of the Harar region and holds an LLB from the
University of Addis Ababa. |

Mr
Abdella Adem has served on the National Electoral
Board of Ethiopia since November 1993.
For the past 28 years he has run his own accountancy
firm. Before becoming self-employed, Mr Adem worked
as an auditor and Head of Assessment at the Inland
Revenue Department of the Ministry of Finance.
He
has also significant experience as a costs accountant
in public sector industry. He holds a Masters in
Public Administration from Harvard University and
a Bachelors degree in Economics from the University
of Addis Ababa. He was born in the Tigray region. |

Mr
Girma Jarso joined the National Electoral Board
of Ethiopia in November 1993. He has worked for
21 years with State-owned enterprises as head of
a variety of research and commercial departments.
He
is currently the Head of Procurement at the Ethiopian
Sugar Industry Enterprise. He was born in the
southern region of Ethiopia and received a Bachelors
degree in Statistics from the University of Addis
Ababa in 1984. |

Mrs
Kebedech Erdachew Mamuye has served on the National
Electoral Board of Ethiopia since July 1999. She
is the general manager of the Economic and Cultural
Promotion Agency Ltd. She worked for 28 years at
the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce, laterly as a
senior expert on trade fairs and exhibitions.
She
is the President of the Ethiopian Women’s
Exporters Forum, the Vice President of the Ethiopian
Business and Professional Women’s Association
and an associate member of the Ethiopian Women Lawyers
Association.
Mrs
Mamuye was a member of the Constitution Drafting
Commission which sat from 1993 to 1995. She is a
founder and current member of the non-governmental
organisation, Action for Development. She was born
in Addis Ababa. |
