Dr Tadios Munie has served on the National Electoral Board of Ethiopia since July 1999. He has been Head of the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Addis Ababa for the past 15 years.

Dr Munie is an Associate Professor of Surgery and Head of the Department of Surgery at the University of Addis Ababa. He was President of the Association of Neurological Sciences from 1982 to 1996. He trained as a specialist neurosurgeon in Bristol, UK and has also held the position of Medical Director at both Dilla Regional Hospital and Tatek Military Hospital.

Dr Munie holds a Masters degree in Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the University of Newcastle, Australia. He has published eight papers and two books on topics in his specialist field. Dr Munie was born in southern Ethiopia.
