The
NEBE welcomes national and international observers to all
phases of the electoral process.
The observers have the right to visit polling stations and
request and obtain appropriate information relating to the
electoral process. Recognising the importance of observers,
the Board has issued accreditation procedures and a code of
conduct for observers.
In addition to observation groups, five
impartial public observers will be selected by the electorate
of each polling station. Two of these individuals, along
with the head of the polling station, will form a complaints
committee to handle complaints at polling station level.
Candidates are entitled to have one representative
at each polling station.
