Voting
Each voter must cast their ballot at the polling station where
they were registered. In order to vote, citizens must produce
their electors’ cards and IDs or equivalent to polling
station staff. After verification of identity, voters shall
sign or place their thumb print by their name on the electoral
roll.
Voters
will cast their ballot in the voting booth by marking the
candidate of their choice with an X, or in the case of illiterate
voters, with a finger print. Voters’ fingers will be
inked before leaving the polling stations, a measure aimed
at preventing multiple voting.
Disabled voters are entitled to bring an assistant of their
choice.
Counting
Counting of ballots will begin in polling stations shortly
after the closure of the polls, in accordance with directives
issued by the NEBE.
