Civic and voter education
The NEBE is responsible for providing voter education to all
voters in Ethiopia.
The NEBE runs a range of voter education programmes including:
* Training for voters in polling day procedures, run by polling
station officials
* Media announcements on election issues, including radio
programmes
* Posters
* Public Meetings
The
NEBE is also working closely with 24 civil society organisations
(CSOs) on a nationwide programme of civic and voter education.

The
CSO civic and education programme receives funding from the
Joint Donor Election Support Programme for the 2005 elections,
supported by Austria, Canada, Finland, Ireland, Netherlands,
Norway, Sweden, the United Nations Development Programme,
the United Kingdom and the United States of America.
The
Programme is managed by Electoral Reform International Services
under the auspices of UNDP.
